I went to the "Clipsal 500", the second race of the Australian V8 Championship.
It's a 4-days event, but I decided to go only on Friday, because of money, and because actually I do not know anything about this kind of races: cars, teams, pilots... I am not a fan, so 1 day was enough.
And FORD
I did not know that these cars have a V8 5000cc displacement, with 640 hp!!! Incredibly powerful...
A lot of races all the day: the Aussie Cars
the PickUp Race (UTE),
the old cars race
and the 1hour GT race.
Then amusement park,
(I did not try this attraction...)
FMX (FreeStyle Moto Cross)
eating something,
and the "Birds of Tokyo" concert.
A full day.
For many years the Australian V8 Championship has been a battle between Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore, sometimes with new models or restylings but always with the glorious same names. Still today?
RispondiEliminaNice shot for hystoric car: Escort Mk1 rulezzzz!
HB
Yes, still today, same rivals: Falcon & Commodore. Holden seems to have more supporters, and has been the winner this Year (I don't know in the history...)
RispondiEliminaIn realtà non l'avevo riconosciuta che era una Escort...me l'hanno detto...un irlandese che era con me...
